“At TAL TORAH, everyone can be who they are, not like anywhere else. My visits to TAL TORAH filled me with strength, light and hope. Torah took on a whole different dimension. Wow! I was excited about learning. I couldn’t get enough. I discovered that the Torah was in me and not separate from me. It’s all one. It’s all there!”

In response to frequent requests from both mothers and daughters to continue learning after Bat Mitzvah, TAL TORAH offers a series of classes on various topics related to the growth and development of young Jewish women. Through in-depth encounters with classical Jewish texts, a young woman’s intellectual, emotional and spiritual capacities are challenged and deepened. Her place in the community and the world-at-large is addressed, helping her to explore, understand and embrace the privileges and responsibilities of Jewish adulthood. Classes and events are offered for girls as well as for mothers and daughters together and include Torah learning, the creative arts, tefillah and chessed projects.

“Studying was exciting. The period after making aliyah was so confusing and I was trying to figure a lot of things out for myself. TAL TORAH became a whole life for me. Not only did I turn on to learning Torah, but I was asked to coordinate the Teen Tzedakah Program for two years. I learned about responsibility, leading and organizing. A lot of what I do today and how I do it is from what I learned at TAL TORAH.”
