“Behold it is known that the world stands on three pillars: Torah, Prayer and Gemilut Chasadim. Our rabbis, may their memory be for a blessing, taught that from the beginning of the world until Matan Torah the world stood on one pillar, that of Gemilut Chasadim – that of Avraham."

~ Alshich

At TAL TORAH, we believe that learning extends beyond the walls of the beit midrash. Embodying the verse “Tzedek Tzedek Tirdof,” TAL TORAH familes are invited to wrestle with traditional texts on Tzedakah and then head into their own neighborhoods to participate in a variety of community service projects. TAL TORAH’s Tzedaka Projects are part of our ongoing commitment to leadership development among TAL TORAH women and girls.

Tzedaka projects have become an integral part of all TAL TORAH programs. We have painted a playground and homes of the needy, prepared baskets of food and special treats for children living in a shelter, visited sick children in hospital. As one TAL TORAH mother said, “It is felt that TAL TORAH is a place of chessed.”
