Over the years, TAL TORAH has developed a fine repertoire of curriculum modules in Teen Education. We would be happy to come to your community and instruct your teachers in their use. We are also happy to conduct these series at your school, synagogue, youth group or in private homes.
We have successfully worked with students of all ages across the denominational spectrum, from religiously observant to secular. We honor our students and respect their choices while inviting them to wrestle in an authentic manner with existential life questions.
First and foremost, the teen years are a journey of self-discovery. Teens are looking to find their own voice among the chorus of voices that is the Jewish people. They will need to individuate their own cry from that of their neighbor's before they can join in harmony with the group. TAL TORAH classes guide students in their search and encourage the development of their own sense of self. Wrestling with the collective wisdom of our people informs a student of what it means to be a young Jewish adult and builds an understanding of the dignity, privilege and responsibility of belonging to our people.TEEN Topics Available:
